After and during running I find that I've been coughing up mucus ( the color is clear). Also, I have seen that I feel out of breath. I've been in a warm climate for a year straight and now I have returned home to a colder climate. Could this be a reason. I have no signs of illness for example cold, flu, fever. Any helpful info would help. thanx

This may be exercise induced asthma. If the mucous has a sort of string through the center, you can't see the string, you can feel it, then it is definitely asthma. See your physician and you can probably control this problem with albuterol inhaler, advair discus or singulair.

I cough a fair amount though only when I play ice hockey. I also live in a subtropical climate. A doc friendfof mine suggested that I might have subclinical asthma. I guess that means its below the threshold of what is considered normal asthma. Maybe you have this too. Just curious if you had asthma as a child?

moving from a warmer to a colder climate could be the problem, breath in through your nose and out your mouth so that the air you breath in is warm and moist.
