My family has an annual Christmas party, and unfortunately no one has a home large enough to fit all of us. Santa always makes an appearance and passes out gifts and we normally have Mexican food for dinner. I'm looking for a fun location (other than just a hall) to have this years party. Any ideas?

You might want to look at the historical locations in your area that are rentable. Some of them are probably very beautiful and homey and would be perfect for a family gathering. Or, you can look into the lobby of an art gallery, aquarium, or building that is architecturally lovely. Some bed and breakfasts rent out their facilities, but may not be big enough for your family. You can also check with Parks and Rec to see if they have any unusual buildings for parties, perhaps a library? If worse came to worse, you might consider having one of those nice tents set up outside, with white lights, heaters and a dance floor to accommodate you all.

maybe transform the hall into something else?.........a "barn" setting for example..........have a "Christmas hoe down" complete with bales of hay, cowboy hats, lassos for decorations
bring the indoor grills and have a bbq...."cowboy food"(beans, fried chicken, beef jerky, ribs, nachos?)
