I'm 22 years old and the primary cook in my home has left. I know it sounds bad but i never learned to cook. I am as kitchen literate as probably a 9 year old.

I live with my dad, my bro and sis me being the youngest. However, no one has taken the initiative to cook so I will.

I'm used to traditional mexican dishes. But i'm pretty much up for anything. Please send your help and be as specific and detailed as possible.
thx guys ym

Okay, there's a few that I know you will be successful at making, because they are very easy, and you can't really mess up. If you go to the link I gave you do searches like "easy meals" or "one dish meals" or "15 minute or 30 minute meals" and you will find some easy recipes that are quick. Also think about making casseroles they're easy.
P.S. At allrecipes you can do an ingredient search, you just enter in the search criteria what you have in the fridge and it will hit on recipes that have these ingredients. This helps beginners, because alot of time you don't know what you can make with what food you have.

Betty Crocker has a cookbook for beginners. Youcould start by purchasing one. Or go to the library and ask the librarian to help you find a beginner's cookbook.

My son's girlfriend didn't know how to cook. I noticed she wasn't sure how to use a lot of the kitchen gadgets, tools, and equipment that we had. Unless you have an older friend or relative who will stick around and watch you cook, a book might give you some tips. Cooking shows on TV are good--some better and more practical than others. I think you can also borrow recordings of cooking demonstrations.

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://bitly.im/aMEs7

The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

Tell you Dad, brother, and sister to get off their butts and give you a hand in the kitchen! Do some meal planning with them, now that your mom has decided she was worth more than being the primary cook in the house and left you to fend for yourselves. Delegate meals so that each of you share in the prep and clean up. And buy yourself 1 really good cookbook. I recommend Betty Crocker.

pastas, stir frys, noodles, hamburgers

home made pizzas are fun: you can get your siblings involved. buy the pre-made crust and decorate it with whatever toppings.

you can also ask your dad to grill more, all you have to do is marinate!

you should start with something easy like pasta. I wouldn't delve in to anything too difficult until you get the basics down.
you could do pasta or salad; those require almost no effort.
