Recurrent mouth ulcers can be the result of nutritional deficiencies, food sensitivities or allergies or emotional stress. Diets that are low in B vitamins, folic acids, iron, and zinc can cause ulcer. Include foods rich in these groups such as dark green leafy vegetables, whole grains, milk, potatoes nuts, wheat germ, eggs, and shellfish. Avoid salty and acidic foods such as crisps pickles and alcohol.

I had this problem for years. I had one every 6 weeks - very painful! I found a simple and natural cure years ago, and I have had almost none since! I only get them now if I forget to take the supplement.
Take a good quality B-50 vitamin every day with a meal. It can make you nauseated if you have one on an empty stomach. Some people also take acidophilus (available in capsules or yogurt) to get rid of mouth sores. The B-50 has CHANGED my life! For the better!
An inexpensive good quality B-50 is available at www.puritan.com
Start soon! There is no reason you have to continue to suffer this way.

See a doctor. Have it tested.
It is a common virus, but test only can confirm it, and doctor can provide proper treatment after testing.
Next time check the body temp, it must be caused by low grade fever, you must see the doctor during the on set of the ulcers.

Yep, it is pretty common. Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) deficiency, most common vitamin deficiency in U.S.A. today !! Increase your intake of foods rich in this vitamin: milk, liver, kidney, cheese, leafy green vegies, fish eggs, yogurt and beans.
Other symptoms of a B2 deficiency are sore and cracked lips and tongue, splitting skin around your fingernails and grainy and sandy feeling eyes. The recommended daily intake for this vitamin is 1.2 = 1.7mg.
The B group of vitamins are water soluble vitamins and need to be replaced on a daily basis. The body can neither produce or store this group of vitamins. You either need to supplement your diet with multi B complexx tablets (vitamins) or increase food rich in this vitamin.
In times of stress we use more of this group of vitamins and so need to adjust our intake accordingly. Any excess you consume will simply be excreted in your urine.
If you choose to follow my excellent advice you'll be very pleased you did as you will get release from your symptoms very quickly. In actual fact, you should feel some degree of almost immediate improvement.
If you are also depressed, moody, irritable, fatigued and exhausted, have headaches, migraines, heart palpitations, chest pains, and head and hand sweats, this is also a B vitamin deficiency. Vitamin B12.
The recommended daily intake for B12 is 2mcg. This vitamin will be included in the Multi B complex supplement that you buy. Avoid synthetic vitamins, the real cheap and nasty ones, as they are very hard to digest. Expect to pay about $25.00 AUD a bottle for a months supply.
Foods rich in B12 are yeast, liver, eggs, milk, cheese and fish, kidney and pork. In the human diet B12 is supplied primarily by animal products, since plant products usually don't contain it.

yes they are pretty common and are because of deficiency of folic acid in special . To prevent ulcers drink lots of water and when affected by them take a tablet of folic acid (commonly available with chemists) for fast relief in a day. all this is my personnel experience cause i get them usually, when miss on my water intake, so you can rely.

If they are on the inside of your mouth, particularly your tongue they can be viral or stomach acid related. Do you have stoach indegestion?
If they are on the outside of your lips they are generally Hepes Simplex 1
If it's inside, watch your diet and gargle with warm water and salt. Outside use and over the counter cream for fever blisters.

My kids would get them when they ate to much tomato foods like spaghetti O'S or ravioli. Something to do with the acids in the food. Also to much pop and OJ would cause it. Check out the foods you eat when you get them.
