First it was my right pointer finger, and now its the left middle finger. I was told 2 years ago that I have fibromialgia, but I don't know if there's a connection. I also had diabetes with my last pregnancy and have heard that when you have diabetes you have problems with your hands and feet...? Both sets of grandparents had diabetes, so I am pretty much looking at getting it. Anyone had similar problems?

Poor circulation

It could be from poor circulation, nerve damage in that hand such as carpal tunnel syndrome, diabetes, neuropathy and a few other disease. I would talk to your doctor and have some simple test ran to rule out a few things like diabetes and inflammation of the joints.

It is common with diabetes to have these symptoms, so it is best to talk to your doctor to determine which tests you need to do and what you can do to help prevent or lessen the symptoms. Good Luck!!!

The only way you will find out is to in fact go to the doctor. Weather it be something as simple as a pinched nerve to full blown diabetes it is not worth the risk of not knowing. Better to ask a doctor then to have anyone in Yahoo try to diagnose you.

the previous comments point to the same thing. go to the doctor. fibromialgia can be very painful and tiresome. people with diabetes generally have diabetic neuropathy which is the pain in the fingertips that you mention -i have them too and take meds for that-. but you have two conditions which can both lead to pain. i would suggest going to the doctor. in general, diabetic neuropathy only gets worse, but can be taken under control with meds. as far as my non-medical knowledge goes -i have an aunt with fybromialgia- they aren't any meds just lifestyle adjustments. visit your doc and let us know you are ok!

One of the major complications arising from diabetes is poor circulation. This can actually become quite serious, and many diabetics have been forced to have amputations because of it. I suggest you see your doctor about it as soon as possible.

It could be a number of things. It could be multiple schrelosis, parkinsons disease, or just a pinched nerve in your arm.
The only way to know for sure is go to a doctor, and if the doctor doesn't know ask him/her to refer you to a neurologist.
