If you can't afford insulin, you probably qualify for Medicare. The American Diabetes Association should also be able to give you some help.

Some generic medications are very cheap. Glipizide is the generic version of Glucotrol and is dirt cheap if it is not the extended release type. Talk to your doctor and see if he/she can put you on something that is cheaper. Most doctors will work with patients on things like that.

Yes apply for medicare or ask your dr. about free care because everyone with a cronic disease gets their meds for free or discounted if they can not afford them!!

See if you can get a generic brand.
Also some companies will supply you with free medication..
