How do you know if a child is sensitive to sugar?

My grandchild gets cranky after eating candy or anything with process sugar? This will last for several days. Is he a person who will be diabetic?

He may have a sugar sensativity as my daughter has it. How much sugar is he being given. I wouldn't allow him to have it; aside from that sugar doesn't cause diabetes. It is hereditary and or damage to the pancreas. If you are concerned about him becoming or having it you should go get a blood test from the doctor and take if from there. In the mean time don't let him have any processed sugars.
