You should definitely call your doctor. You are symptomatic- high blood sugar, tired, headache, and short of breath. These symptoms should not be ignored. Though emergent care may not be needed now, you should be seen by physician soon before it is. Don't wait. Go home sick from work and see your doc!

yes you should call your GP the minute it goes over 280! The headache, tiredness, dry mouth etc are all symptoms of it worsening and that your body is crying out for help! Yuo should def call ur GP, and most likely, he will be the advisor as to when the emergency care should be called for.
Although saying that, you should defintly not be the judge of this at a stage where ur levels are 315! Just by letting it get that high, that is dangerous enough and you could have a fatal reaction and not be able to call for them at all...do your neighbours know of your condition? Its a good idea to have someone call you or make sure u are ok everynow and then....at the risk of being cliched, better safe than sorry.
Best wishes,
N

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.
I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

I don't mean to be rude, but don't you think after having IDDM for 10yrs you really ought to know what to do?
Try and ALWAYS have ketone sticks on hand. I can't stress this enough. THEY ARE DANGEROUS.
During illness T1 diabetics usually require extra insulin. The chances are, you have probably developed ketones due to the cold.
You should speak to a doctor immediately as you clearly have not been shown what to do in this situation, which is terrible...
Talk to a doctor. Also, ask him/her to guide you through what to do should this happen again.
Good luck

When you took the morning dosage, did you eat anything?
You should have had a lower reading after taking the medication and eating. If it had not gone down within an hour or two, you should ahve sought emergency help.
Anytime that the blood level gets over 150, it is cause for concern and worry.
***You need medical attention,***
CALL 911 911 Emergency ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like your Chest cold( or whatever u had) has given u an infection of some sort. You need to seek immediate medical attention. Wierd things could begin to happen, one of the worst being KetoAcidosis. This is life threatening. I could cause you to become severly ill, laps into a comma, or worse. It doesn't take long after you notice the first sign. Call your doctor A.S.A.P. or even go to your local ER. It is not something to take lightly!

You can call your doc at any time, and you should b/c they will be able to talk you through the steps you need to take. Remember to drink lots of water, that will keep the ketones away. Take insulin for the highs.

go to your doctor asap. on your way there drink plenty of water. my mom does this when her sugar level is very high; she drinks black coffee with no sugar. the black coffee will bring it down too. (don't ask me how I just know it works. my neighbor will have a 500 sugar level reading and after about an hour of drinking black coffee her sugar level will drop about 100 points.)
