Are you a vegetarian or Vegan? If so then no, you would not just eat it anyways. By choosing to live a lifestyle free of animal products you have decided that animal foods are not food for you. I would send it back as many times as it took to get it right.

I've worked in restaurants for 7 years and never once have I or seen anyone "do" anything to food that has been sent back. You must be going to some pretty slimy restaurants if you are afraid of the staff.

Some places serve their salads with bacon. If you are a vegetarian, or allergic, or don't eat pork for religious reasons, just ask the server if it has it, then order the salad without. It's easier in the beginning for a server to modify the order then to send a salad back.

Are you vegetarian? If you are why would you just eat it anyway regardless of it being a mistake or not? If you are not vegetarian then why post on here and why would you care that there were bacon bits in it? Anywah, I would usually just explain to the waiter nicely that I didn't order what they gave me and then get the correct meal.

Hey bro, your the vegetarian not me, but if you feel the bacon bits count as sinning, I know they make imitiation bacon bits that are soy based, not as tasty as the real thing, but no pork in it. Also, alot of people do not eat porl b/c they find the animal to be dirty and beleive it is fed garbage or slop. 90 percent of pork is grain and vegetable fed now and lean pork is actually quite good for you. If the bacon bits just "make" the salad, it must have been a ceasar!

The classical answering a question with a question: It depends on why you wouldn't eat it, in other words, what is the motivation behind your being a vegetarian (assuming you are)?

Whose permission are you asking for ? Are you asking the meat eaters who seem confused by your question or the vegetarian/vegans who seem confused by your question ? are you asking the waitresses and waiters who would be confused but wouldn't care as long as you tipped them ? are you asking the lettuce growers association who would be confused but might refer your question to the pig ranchers ? if my questions confuse you ... think about it !!
