If you honestly think that's what happened, you need to get it checked. I have heard of it before, and the person had to have a bronchoscopy done to get the particles out. You don't want to leave it there, it could cause a pneumonia-aspiration type. So, if there's a doc you can call, call, or go to ER. Sorry, but that's what you should do.

If you had actually inhaled food into your lungs, you would most likely choke to death first, but if that didn't happen, you would be coughing profusely.
Try to drink some warm tea and eat something like oatmeal. That should help get it down.
