How do I get mucus out of my chest. I have like a flemmy cough and a really sore throat. It is basiclly bronchitis. SO how do I make myself feel better? Like medications? Or home remedies?

You could add a "cool mist" vaporizer where you sleep to add some humidity to the environment,it will lessen the inflammation and thin the mucous secretions etc.You could also try a "expectorant" type OTC cough medicine to help during the day. Taking some Ibuprofen or Tylenol will help with general discomfort.Warm salt-water gargles will help the throat pain.If your not better soon,please see your MD,you may need some antibiotics. I've had exactly the same thing for a bit over a month, it started from a sinus infection, and I was on antibiotics and I still have the congestion...I was reading today 6-8 cups of water a day, and vitamin C, will clear it up..some people say musinex...but i've heard how it make a lot of people shaky and there hearts race..hot tea and honey with a hot shower
afterwards may help too....

Try rubbing some vicks mentholatum cream on your chest.. put a warm cloth on it and use a humidfier. Hope you get feeling better.

There is an over the counter product called Mucinex...but check with your doctor first, okay?
