cant describe the structure coz it would take too long but the functions of the autonomic ns would be this..it is divided into the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems..these help with the fight or flight syndrome in times of stress and relaxation..various effects of the sympathetic ns are increased heart rate increased contraction of the spleen pupil dilation decreased digestion and urine production..the parasympathetic would have the oposite effect..i could go on further but you should consult even a basic anaomy and physiology book and ul find it all there
