Could be from numerous things. Stress is one. If you are worried that it's your heart go to the hospital where they can do a 12-lead ecg and cardiac work up including a triponin level. If they feel that there is major concern they would send you for a stress test or possibly a cath. Chest pain does not have to hurt. Heart attacks come in many signs and symptoms including nausea, vomiting, tightness, weakness, dizziness, etc. You sound pretty young so if that's the case then it probably is stress but if you want a peace of mind you can go for a cardiac work up. Hope this helps.

For any advice concerning tightness of the chest, seek professional medical attention. There are so many things it "COULD" be. The best way to be sure nothing serious is wrong is to go see a doctor. It could be something so simple are Asthma or something much more serious. Hope that helps!

Have you been nervous? Nerves and stress can definitely cause those symptoms. Seek medical advice!

I went to the ER with symptoms like this. Tightness in the chest and my left hand was felt like little ants were running every where. I was lightheaded as well. They did a lot tests and told me it was stress.

I started jogging a lot and that seemed to help a lot. Try doing something that you feel reliefs stress for you and see if that helps at all. If not, go see your doc just for piece of mind.

You'll start to worry and become more stressed out ( like I did).

How long have you been feeling this? It could be stress related. If you get shooting pain down your left arm, up into your jaws, to straight to the emergency room. You don't want to gamble your life by possibly having a heart attack. I had the same symptoms as you describe, and I went to my doctors that afternoon. He did an AKG, and that showed normal. What I had was an anxiety attack. Go to your doctor anyway to get it thoroughly checked out. They can do the AKG right in the office to detect any heart abnormalities.
