I have to agree with everybody, its highly unlikely that you contracted anything.....so just try and go on with your life. And try to think of all the things yu would have loved to have accomplished were you to discover that you were indeed HIV positive and go on and do them. This kind of fear should jolt you into really living.

A small cut should not be a problem, unless she cut you with a knife or some such thing that she had cut herself and drew blood. It is the mixing of blood to blood where AIDS virus is transfered (one of the ways). If at all possible go to a HIV clinic and be advised. Trust them there. If they think there is a problem they will put you on medication for awhile. Don't wait for test to show the problem. It is important not to drink as we can do dangerous activities when we are not totally ourselves. You love life, it is important to you, have the courage to life your life as though that is true. Go to an AA program and just listen to the stories to get courage to care for yourself.

You need to relax. It's very unlikely you would contract HIV from the circumstances you described. Even if she did drip blood onto your cut intentionally, it's still unlikely you'd contract HIV.

Generally, HIV requires an injection of the body fluid for it to infect. I know there may have been some cases of surface contact contraction, but they are very rare and unlikely.

As for your symptoms, again, relax. You would not be showing symptoms this quickly, even if you did contract HIV.
