I have some odd chest pains near my left shoulder, i'm young, (under twenty), exercise fairly regularly, don't eat particularly well but i try to stay away from trans fats etc. and right now I have Mono.
Obviously i'm doubting it's some sort of heart condition but i'm still a little worried, any comments would be great, ty

Chest pains are bad in general. How long have you been getting them? It can be an uper respiratory bacteria building up, a blocked or slightly torn valve. It could even be slowly developing mico-plasum phenomina. All which are dangerous. Is it exercise induced or reduced? If it changes at all with exercise, you need to see a doctor. If it doesn't feel like a muscle, and it feels deeper, really go see a doctor. Even when your young, you can have these problems. This is the exact reason you hear of kinds collapsing, convulsing, and even dieing on soccor fields and basketball courts. Your best bet will be to go to a doctor right away.
Hope i helped.

You said when you move wrong the pain in increases. That tells me it is not cardiac but the muscle. Sounds like you pulled a muscle or something and if you have mono you should be relaxing. When people have heart attacks the pain does not change no matter how they move. Hope this eases your mind

That pain under your heart is a swollen spleen from your mono. Avoid all exercising for 3-4 weeks. Call your physician in the morning and let him or her know about the pain, ok? Just rest. RN
