You do not specify your age so I have to assume the normal things that are done there...You can have what is called a Doppler Study of the legs to check the blood flow and check for clots...also they can do a study on your carotid arteries in your neck to see if the blood flow is normal or decreased..if it is decreased there it could be a concern for a possible stroke...all in all the studies that take place there all are non invasive ..meaning that no puncturing of the skin is done...all tests are done on the exterior of the skin and are painless...Good luck but may I add that I am in the health care field and would suggest that you ask any questions that you might have..we are happy to answer....

Depends on the type of test really. Usually to check if the blood flow is adequate to certain areas of the body. The doc must have concern about your extremities maybe? Sometimes they can inject a dye to see the blood flowing in the veins and arteries. This way the doc can see if it is efficient enough to maintain normal circulation to that certain area.
