OMG, my son will not come near it with a 10 foot pole. He ordered a sandwich for lunch at school one day, and there was mayonnaise on it. That was 2 years ago, he still refuses to order lunch at school, but my daughter loves it...go figure

A lot of commercial, store-bought mayonnaise is nasty. It tastes funny and it's full of additives.
Fresh homemade mayonnaise (eggs, oil and optional garlic to turn it into aioli) is lovely. I would recommend you try it at least once. However, it's high in fat and tricky to make so if you don't care for it, don't eat it.

Did you know you're not alone? Neither my boyfriend nor I care for mayonaise. I put mustard on my sandwiches. For pasta and potato salads I substitute other salad dressings, yogurt, or sour cream for the mayo. You know, there is an evil out there worse than mayo.....they call it: Miraclewhip.

No you are NOT alone!!! I hate it too. Can't stand the smell. I watch the Subway people to make sure they don't forget and put some on like some places are guitly of.

You're not the only one. I never eat Mayo anymore...occasionally I'll eat Nayo however which does not have eggs in it, and therefore tastes much better. Don't feel the need to eat emulsified oil if it doesn't catch your fancy...there is no need health-wise.

I don't like it either.. I'll tolerate it if it's a VERY small amount, but most restaurants put globs of it on the sandwiches and I can't stand that. You're not alone! :-)
