Can you out-grow Asthma?

You can not grow out of asthma. Just like you can't grow out of runny noses. Asthma is an allergy. You can grow up, growing bigger airways that don't get blocked as easy but the underling cause is still there. You can grow up and move out of your house and leave triggers behind but you will still have those allergies anyplace you go.

I guarantee if you had asthma as a child, and it was really asthma, I could make you have another attack with a pulmonary function lab today.

I feel your pain. I've had asthma for 14 years now and have seen several doctors. The truth is, there is no known cure for asthma at the moment. But the symptoms can be prevented. It really depends on what causes your brother's asthma. Mine is usually dust and hot weather. But I think the universal method is using the control inhaler.

Yes. My son had extremely bad asthma when he was little. I almost lost him twice. He was on meds for years and at the age of 8 he just got better and didn't need anything. He is now 14 years old and healthy as a horse. It can be done. I wish you well.

My brother is an asthmatic and after ten years his bronchial asthma has shown no sign of having better. He has been to a number of medical doctors yet they did not help lots. in case you want a shown, all-organic thank you to treatment your bronchial asthma, devoid of having to pay for ineffective drugs with risky area-outcomes, then that's the main severe website you will ever examine.

Depends on the severity, I had mild asthma as a child, my sister had moderate, I don't have it at all, I don't think she even carries an inhaler anymore, else I never see her use it. We are both in our 30's.

Infact, yes! Some people who have been diagnosed with asthma can grow out of it. It is possible, not extremely rare, but possible...

It's certainly possible. My sister, after having been severely ill with it for the first five or six years of her life, inextricably grew out of it. I, on the other hand, grew into it when I was about 7 years old.

I have heard this, however, as I got older, mine actually became much worse, and now it is difficult to manage ( I am 28). So....it seems to perhaps depend on the individual. Hopefully you will grow out of yours though!

Yes you can.
My son had it from very a young age.
Once he reached puberty all of his symptoms disappeared.
He only gets sniffles now if the room is smoky or there is a lot of pollution.
The specialist told us if you get it young, sometimes it goes away. If you get it when you are older you may have it for life.
