You sound just like me. I tried it all too and my husband still brings down the house. I ended upsleeping in the living room for the last year. If you find something that works let us know.

He needs to see the doctor for an exam. Most times snoring is caused by a medical problem that can be fixed or helped. If it is not a medical problem the doc will at least be able to tell him ways to help. First stop is the docs office. I keep wondering though how long it will take before people realize that snoring is NOT NORMAL and they need to see a doc for it,.

Could be that he has sleep apnoea - which is more common than you think. In this case, snoring is caused by person stopping breathing temporarily. Treatment will stop it - but will have to be done through doctor.
For the time being, I have found that re-positioning the snorer helps in the short term to reduce the noise. Try getting him propped onto his side with pillows, perhaps sleeping propped up may help? I know for my partner, lying flat on his left side tends to make the snoring more bearable. A link is below to the hospital in the UK that deals with sleep/snoring disorders - they may have some advice on their website which may help you. Good luck.

He could have sleep apnea, but will need to see dr in order to have a sleep study done. If he does have it, a CPAP machine will be Rxd, but that doesn not always stop the snoring (believe me). If my hubby is asleep in the house, and I take the dog out, I can still hear him snoring. Sometimes we sleep in separate bedrooms on different levels because of his snoring and my lack of sleep and I can STILL hear him. Drs have suggested clipping his uvula, but I don't think that will help much.

Try `snore ease ` strips. They are placed at the back of the throat on the roof of the mouth . They have worked for us. The spray was a waste of time but tried these and bingo they worked.

Im sorry I can't help, but I can sympathise-We've also tried everything you have & I'm in the same boat, you feel like killing them but you know they can't help it,it puts an incredible strain on a relationship over time & the constant tiredness you feel makes you increasingly irritable & depressed.I think your answer is the same as ours-stick it out until he loses weight (& help him to do so)
P.S-Have you tried ear plugs or do you have the same problem as me that you need to hear your alarm clock in the morning?? Anyway, good luck & please try not to hurt him too badly.....

******Earplugs**** - get some from Boots; they're very cheap, and extremely effective.
I don't think it's a good idea for anyone to have an operation unless it's absolutely necessary. People die from supposedly "routine" operations. Could you live with the guilt?

use your elbow....no only joking, my husband snores I ask him to turn on his side, that usually works. I also find if I fall asleep before him it helps, its a nightmare if he falls asleep before me the noise he makes keeps me awake. Just last night he kept me awake until 3am!!!!!!!
I would suggest a visit to your Dr who could refer you too a respiratory consultant, they have technicians that could perform some tests.
