why wouldn't you date someone that said they had an issue with chlamydia in the past? truth is, everyone has put themselves at risk for any type of STD....some don't even know they have an STD.
this goes to show you the honesty and integrity in this person....and how much they care enough about themselves (or others) by being tested....this is far more what you should base a relationship on than having one issue with an STD that was more than likely cured.
i would also like to say that you can get chlamydia just as easy in a long term relationship where one person is unfaithful or had carried unknowingly the disease.
there are many folks who are victims of std's whose partner spread it. you do not have to have mulitple partners to get it.
good luck!

Yes I would. One because they are being up front and honest with you about it. And two it is treatable and cureable. And three its in there past which means they don't have it now. It is treated with antibiotics. If taken exactly as directed, antibiotics can cure a chlamydia infection. The infection will not be cured if antibiotics are not taken as directed. Prompt treatment also stops the spread of the infection and reduces complications, such as pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). It is not like aids or herpies. And maybe if you have that person and yourself screened for all stds and use protection you shouldn't haven anything to worry about. I hope that helps.

Well if a person answers "no" to this question, they rule out dating more than half of the population of planet earth instantly. Odds of contracting chlamydia if you are sexually active with multiple partners of unknown health are extremely high. Of course one could always use protection. But as the lesson in epidemiology has taught us, Most people dont use protection with everyone all the time.

Yes, very common and it is completely treatable. I would make sure who you are dating no longer has a STDs though.

Yes, only if he agrees to use protection when we have sex. That is with anyone whether they have had anything in the past or not.....Always have to take safety percautions anyways with anyone.
