Theres is no way to answer to this question. Although theres documented evidence to support that physical/mental stress, facial trauma, respiratory infections, and diet play a role in triggering outbreaks, theres no way to determine if or how these factors predict the onset or reoccurance of active outbreak. There are 8 types of human herpes virus. The 2 species we are concerned with are HSV1 and 2. It is a misconception that HSV 1 is "oral" and HSV 2 is "genital". Both HSV1 and 2 can infect *ANY PART OF THE HUMAN BODY*. Both species can be asymptomatic for days, months, even years after initial infection. Subsequent outbreaks, if any, are typically less severe. The infection can also be completely asymptomatic for the entire duration of ones life.

Common cold sores are caused by the Herpes Simplex virus. Usually contracted through kissing. There is no cure for it so recurrence is inevitable. The virus usually stays deep down in the system except it rises to the surface occasionally, usually at times of stress, which gives the sores you see around the mouth.

Now that you have the virus in your system, you can get one at any time. It's herpes simplex 1. It can be contagious if you kiss someone or have oral sex with someone while you have the cold sore.

To treat it, I recommend Abreva. It's now over the counter and works rather well.

Just about everyone has been exposed to simplex 1. It's very common. Don't sweat it.

The virus that creates the cold sore, is from the same virus that creates chicken pox... so, it makes sense that if you have had chicken pox, you will have cold sores... I don't know about the severity, really,... it just depends on your immunity levels... I would think anyway! I had 6 children, 5 of them had chicken pox... some more severe than others... one was totally immune to it... Just take care of yourself ok!

You will always get cold sores once you have had one. You may only get one a year or you may get them a couple times a year it all depends. Severity varies also.

in case you' relied on' them, (I regard the be conscious 'have faith' as an exceedingly severe state), then you certainly of course regarded them very tremendously. while they destroyed that have faith, there treachery somewhat mattered and it injury. It injury plenty which you somewhat in no way believed that it would desire to take place, and that's totally complicated to ever forget approximately it. you may besides the fact that in time forgive the pal for being so bloody stupid, yet you will in no way forget approximately the incident. If after this, that pal ever back make an identical idiotic mistake, then no longer in basic terms might the friendship be terminated, yet you will possibly doubt your very own judgment for ever forgiving the sod. The organic action may well be to triumph over his head in, yet this action is frowned upon in a lawful society, and you will possibly in no way get the stain out of the carpet. This makes one very careful.

It's called Herpes simplex 1, meaning above the waist. Stress, among other things, will determine how often you get it. It is an STD. You can pass it on to others. Lysine and BHT are supposed to help decrease reoccurrences.

if you get a cold sore then you have to virus that causes them forever, if you are not getting enough rest or you are having a lot of stress and your immune system is suppressed in any way you may get them, that is why sometimes when you get sick you get them, they aren't really on a time schedule like you get one a year or you get one every three months

usually pretty mild, i have had like 3 this year but i never had them untill now, you can get some valtrax from your doctor,(yes its for genital herpes) but this is a form of herpes, but its not an std, but the valtrax clears them up and they go away, because sometimes abbreva( which is like a lip balm for cold sores) doesnt always work, but you can try it first, its also cheaper than valtrax
