...in or through their workplace. Do you think this is true? If you're with a partner, how did you meet?

I am happily married...
We were neighbours...my wife used to live upstairs from me and she use to come down asking for staff...one day she was short of milk, another day she had run out of salt...sometimes she would just need a tool...I started thinking she did not know where the shopping centre was...lol
But, as it turns out, she was after me...

Hi! I think so, because at work is where you spend most of the time of your life, and if you're single while you get a new job, from personal experience, the probability is that you will have some sort of relationship with one of your co-workers. In my last job I had a boyfriend, didn't last long, but it happened. Now I'm in a new job, for a few months and who knows what will happen. I tell you this though, there's a lot of couples and marriages here!

I think that statistic is a little wrong! Otherwise, every third man or women in my company would be in a relationship with each other and thats certainly not the case here! I would say theres about a 5% of our staff in relationships with work collegues. Personally, I think its a bit too much unless they work in a completely different area and you barely see them all day.

No I don't think its true at all - I met my current bf of 9 months on a dating site as our committments meant that we didn't have the time to go out and meet people socially.

I do not thin it is one third but ppeople do meet there. Infact alot most people that cheat , cheat with someone at work or the mates family....it is not a good idea to be with anyone you work with for you are with them way too much...at work and at home...no one can last that way...meet someone at a place where you enjoy doing something....hiking...sking....a book club...

My hubby and I met at an industry function - does that count? Well its sort of the social side of work i suppose. I think these relatioships work as you have things in common...

you spend a third of your day at work, roughly 8 hrs, another 8 sleeping, and the other 8 keeping house & socialising etc so it stands to reason
