No, unless, of course, you happen to be a Mermaid, then it would be cannibalism. If mermaids exist, it would be pretty certain that they would be a different species. You are only committing cannibalism if you are eating an individual of your own species.
Of course, as Mermaids are supposedly as intelligent as humans, eating them would normally be considered a bad thing to do, even if it is not technically cannibalism. This would probably be especially true if you were to catch and kill the Mermaid specifically for the purpose of eating it.
However, another interesting question to ponder is: "Would killing a Mermaid be murder?"

no, i don't think it's a sort of cannibalism...it's like sushi, and most people love sushi..so, what's better then a good sushi with BOOBS??.
..i would replace the turkey with a mermaid on the thanksgiving day!
