I don't
And I really can't understand why anyone could believe there's someone listening.
To me, this is one of the strangest things about christians.

Then why are my prayers answered daily?
Perhaps the amputee does not realize the answer is No?
Your logic is severely flawed and as for me the power of prayer is right, is good, is true and works.
If the amputee is a believer than they know that eventually they will get their limb(s) back, if the amputee is not a believer than so sad it might never happen.
You have no proof and anyone with the slightest amount of intelligence would see that this statement is false.

i'm unlikely to get entangled in any of those squabbles, yet i will tell that the clientele Jim and Karl P have it stunning. Regeneration with the help of the Holy Spirit is the only thank you to have a sparkling heart (Psalm fifty one:10). Karl P describes the flexibility of one million John 3:9 extremely properly. Now with regard to the questioner's question, definite they are in a position to if their prayer is honest, yet transforming into born back won't assure their salvation or produce adjustments of their habit, questioning, movements, or lifestyle. lots of Christians are born back yet they do no longer repent each so often, that's why they nonetheless homicide and hate and verify. they don't have the blood of Jesus. they have unclean hearts. They fail to maintain God's stunning commandments because of fact their hearts are unclean. @kl definite, that's a heart concern, besides the fact that that's not constantly initiated with the help of God. @XAndrewX Church Militant Mt10:34 definite, we shouldn't forget approximately works, in spite of if the two concept and deeds are minor standards. God would not look at appearances, yet He seems on the heart (one million Samuel sixteen:7). remark: Why the thumbs down? Are you being convicted, Christians? There are better non secular achievements guy can accomplish with out suggestions from faith. definite, i'm a guy of hate, yet that would not unavoidably propose i won't coach (Philippians one million:15-18).

My dear friend, you make prayer sound like some magic wand. It is not.
God may not answer the way you expect Him to. He will not answer your prayer if your prayer is not in His perfect will.
Also, if you are not living life the way He wants you to live, but you ask Him for things every now and again, why should He listen and why should He answer?
God answers those who love Him. And then, those who love Him have to trust that He will answer in a way that He knows is best for them.
Prayer certainly does "work"! Prayer is talking to God.
PS: And you can only pray to God through Jesus Christ.

That's a strange conclusion to make.Prayer has not been proven wrong just because you have not observed an amputee being healed.
I know of several healings which can only be described as miraculous.

In this life, God will not act to rectify all the wrongs in the world. But after Armageddon, we have been promised an end to death and sickness.
(REVELATION 21:4) “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.””
Those with missing limbs can be classed as those suffering pain.
So in God's new system, they will be whole again.
(JOB 33:25) “Let his flesh become fresher than in youth; Let him return to the days of his youthful vigor.’”
Why would God promise this, and not refresh the whole limb?
And WHY would limbs be needed?
Because our future is back on the earth.
(PSALM 37:9) “For evildoers themselves will be cut off, But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth.”
