I've been flirting with this guy at his work, he's given me a good discount on things and I asked him out on a date, he said yes and blushd but I chickened out and I've been acting nonchalant about it.
The last time I walked in the store, he exchanges glances with his friend and smiles to himself (not looking at me)

i think he know you feel for him and he probably told his friend that. perhaps that is the reason why he was smiling at his friend when you entered the store.
