The smarties and buttons etc were inside the chocolate egg now you get an egg and a packet or a bar of chocolate in the packaging.

Yeah, I remember. you wold get things like buttons, smarties, and dolly mixtures. It's boring now with a chocolate bar just in the box.

I know... I think maybe in the little eggs they still come inside (89p ones). I was discussing this the other day and I now think that most relatives used to get you those sort of eggs and close family you would get a 'big' egg from, i.e. £2.99 with two bars/packs of chocolate or sweets. They have reduced the price of these now to 3 for £3 therefore kids think they are measly and if they get an 89p one they think its rubbish. Makes people ungrateful these days.... anyway slightly off topic, but yeah I do wish you still had to smash the egg to get your sweets!!

Also the packaging for the Easter Eggs was much smaller too. I am pretty sure though that the smaller eggs still have sweets inside.

Yes I remember that! I remember a roses egg and I used to be excited about breaking open the egg to find out which chocolates were inside!

Yes!! that was the first thing you did when you got your Easter egg, crack the egg open for the tiny packet of sweets inside.

yeah i remember that, the whole fun of it was breaking in to the egg to get the sweets out!! oh well its still chocolate lol

I used to love the fact that once you opened up your egg you got the sweets inside, it does not fel the same now, with the sweets not in them.
Do you remeber the little dolly mixtures, that they had inside them.
