Do young ladies like men twice their age?

I was recently told that young ladies (18+) are being attracted to men twice their age and older. Is this true?

Most relationships with people that much older are not successful. I can understand up to 3-4 years age difference. Beyond that, it's really not that good. She's 16, and really, you have every right to call the police on her and get her to come back home. That man, at least if I remember correctly, can be held accountable for helping her in this run away. She may think she loves him, or something like that, but she is at an age where she should know better. You are her parents, and you need to do something about this. ASAP. Before something bad happens. Sure, she may hate hate you for it, but she needs to realize what she's doing is not acceptable. Not only that, but if she's in a sexual relationship with him...it's illegal. That is statutory rape, and if they are in such a relationship, it needs to be reported. He needs to be held responsible for his actions. I've been in relationships with guys only 10 years older then me, and trust me, they never turned out well. I've realized that it's not a good thing, and anyone who's that much older and with a younger person...they've probably got some major issues. At least the guys I've been with that are that age have been really bad. I can also understand once she's 18 if she wants to be in a relationship with an older guy like that. She is 16 however. She's not legally an adult yet.

Maybe in some cases that's true. But generally speaking, if you see a young lady running around w/a man who's old enough to be her father it's for one reason...money and/or security. You don't necessarily have to be rich...they just want someone to "take care of them". Of course if you DO have a lot of money your chances of catching a younger ladies interest are a lot greater. Men who court women young enough to be their daughters are just having some sort of a huge "denial" thing about their own age. Seriously, other than sex, what can you really have in common with a woman 25-30 yrs. (or more) younger than you? (And you have to take Viagra for that) I'm a 45 yr old woman and although I think somebody like Leonardo DiCaprio is just adorable I would NOT want to date somebody his age. He hadn't even been born yet when Kennedy was shot (Jack or Bobby), Martin Luther King, when man walked on the moon for the first time, when Nixon resigned. when Jimmy Carter said "I have lusted in my heart". He may not have even been around when the space shuttle blew up...if he was, he was an infant. I would want to be in a relationship with someone who remembers the same things I do....not someone who thinks Abbey Hoffman was Dustin Hoffman's first wife.

For me, personally this is especially true. I am getting married this year to a man that is 22 years older than myself and I couldn't be happier. I think it all depends on the individual and the connection that 2 people have. I believe that age is just a number and that as long as 2 people love each other, that's all that should matter.

i dated a guy once that was 32 and i was 20 at the time, he was just as inmature as a younger guy would be. now im 23 seing a 20 year old and we are madly inlove and having a child soon (due date july 13) yay! but anyways i thought i was attracted to older guys because of thier maturity level but come to find out it doesnt matter how old that person is, it just depends on that person. so no i got over the whole "dating someone older" thing.

It happens. Some women like the "maturity" of older men. Don't worry, when they get older they'll prefer younger men again.

some are but not all. I think its because guys their age are just too confused about what they want. So its easier to date and older man versus one the same age.

not all girls like men in their same age but there are alot of girls like who are olders than them
