In some airports there are security check point machines (which i think use x-rays) through which you have to send your bags.

So i need to know whether its not good for a laptop computer to go through these machines?

which the rays from these machines damage the laptop memory and internal chips?

no, they don't heurt it at all, a strong magnetic field would wipe the hard drive but your basically just shooting photons through it...no big deal, doesn't hurt a thing
