Ah! A VERY tough question. I suppose if we could find a way to do that, Christianity would have had everyone saved and this world would not be such a difficult place to live in. But alas, it is hard to get youngsters to pay attention to much of anything.
My suggestion is that you stay away from the "religion" part of it. Let me explain. Religion is Man's way of trying to worship God. It is also the wrong way. I am a Christian through and through and HATE religion. I do have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and maybe that WOULD be attractive to youngsters. To know that it has a new face to it instead of 17,000 man-made denominations telling them to "do it this way" or "don't do that!" Youngsters in today's age are STARVING for answers and most often it is in the spirituality area that this is the worst. They WILL find answers somewhere I am sure you know and realize. To give them fresh answers without the religious stigma would be like a breath of fresh air to them. Try that. Show them they way to salvation in that Jesus died for us all "while we were still sinners" and is alive today. If any Christian could explain how it feels to be a Christian without the religion part of it, the whole world would become Christians in seconds.

Say more interesting , not more attractive. There is no attraction on religion but there is something that make you interested., Okay?

Instead of inviting the youngsters or any man to a social gathering like drinking liquor, smoking cigarettes witnessing nude dance and others, you should invite them to hear the words of God in the bible. You invite them to go to a true religious congregation that base his teachings on the bible alone, not on the commentaries of a false Pastor or evangelists

Tell the youngsters to read the bible instead of reading a book against religion, or fantastic books and other books not connected with our daily life.

Encourage them to love God, show their respect to God and to be made as the true children of God, etc etc etc.

Religion is always attractive to youngster. David and Goliath, Samson and Deliah, The miracles of Jesus and Noah's ark are few stories children loves to hear over and over again. Only when this youngsters reach adulthood that some are grounded to pragmatism and rational thinking.

Im sorry to be so pointed about this but thats the stupidest question ive ever read.
You always preach that your religion is the right one and that all the others are false. If thats true then shouldn't need to make it more attractive.
Thats cult talk. Religion is not something to be advertised like a product. You want people to join then stop shoving it down peoples throats.
It is human nature to push anything away that is being forced on them. If u have faith that is strong then it will inspire others as well. If yours is the true religion then the followers will come not because you advertised it but because you are a good person and show your love and faith.

Instead of trying to come up with "strategies" to attract children to "organized religion," perhaps parents should just "walk the walk" and live lives that exemplify their beliefs.

My parents never beat us over the head with Scripture. They were not extremely conservative in many ways, but they loved each other, they loved us, and taught us a sense of sympathy and compassion for others.

THAT is what you want to accomplish anyway ~ not an ability to quote scripture.

Show Jesus as He really was, not as the feminine, powerless, nurser of self-esteem that the modern world portrays Him. The New Testament shows Him as a very bold and sarcastic person, yet He was also portrayed as feeling responsible for His fellow man (and rightly so). We need to stop telling our children that He was some mild-mannered, meek person who let everyone walk all over Him. Kids instinctively try to identify with the alpha-males, and we seem to be purposely keeping this alpha-male from them.

Young people can spot the lie of OMMISION...and, religion is guilty .Let's teach the whole truth to our youngsters...then we'd have their interest. Lets fill in the strung----up---gaps---known as the Holy Bible(which i accredit life to..personally)before we teach our youngsters. I had to find truth else where...fill in the gaps myself...unfortunately...NOT IN CHURCH....yet...church is where truth resides...????

i wanted to be a youth minster very much when i was in college. Personally (this may sound trite, but it's important to them), i thin k one of the most important things is to allow them to wear whatever clothing and accessories they like (this includes tattoos and piercings). Showing them that "God" still love them and embraces them, no matter what they look like on the outside will definitely make it more welcoming. They're on the verge of becoming adults an they're already learning how harsh and judgemental the world is without voluntarily subjecting themselves to it in church. Having youth ministers who display these types of 'fashions' will attract them too. It will make them extremely curious, as it's exactly the opposite of what they think will be acceptable.

u know how i got into God and religion. a friend, a really cool, awesome, happy, vibey friend. she was always happy and totally the life of every party. then one day she told me she is a christian. i was alot younger then, but the same goes for todays youngsters, they always seem to admire someone - they want to be JUST LIKE someone (normally famous). if that someone was a christian, i think it would change their prospective on religion. (religion IS cool, and its not just for the granny down the road!)
