Is there anything a cancer patient can do to increase their chances of surviving cancer?

I.e. dietary recommendations?
Ive heard Cancer cells need high levels of folic acid than other cells. Should you consume foods low in folic acid then? I dont really know, I'm just thinking outside the box a bit...

There is a lot of information on the web claiming that eating certain foods will prevent or help you survive it. Some is true–some isn't. A lot of research is based on a single study, or on extremely high doses of a given substance.
In reality, its there are some easy tips to follow.

1: Eat lots of fresh (as in, picked ripe) fruits and vegetables (lots) and avoid meat, eggs, and especially processed food. The Hopi Indians of Arizona and the Hunza of Pakistan have cancer rates of less than 1 in1000. It seems to be based on a diet high in fresh fruits and vegetables and high cesium content in the soil. They eat no processed food.

2: Keep your blood alkaline. It was been shown that cancer cannot grow in a ph above 7.4. In fact, cancer only exists in people with acidic blood, and terminal cancer patients can have ph's as low as 5.0. The reason is that cancer is anaerobic, and grows best in a low-oxygen environment, which is an acidic environment. Cancer also contributes to body acidity by producing lactic acid as a by-product of anaerobic metabolism. One way to raise blood ph is to eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Another is to supplement with high-ph minerals such as Magnesium, Calcium, Potassium, Cesium, and Rubidium. Independent studies have shown remarkable survival rates in terminal cancer patients by supplementing with Cesium Chloride and administering a healthy diet.

3. Eat fresh Aloe Vera (enzymes destroy the active ingredient if it is left too long after being cut). It sounds strange, but it's true: For a long time, scientists could not determine why there were branched sugar molecules protruding form the surface of cells. Only in the last decade have researchers figure out that these "glycoproteins" (sugars attached to proteins) allow cells to communicate with each other. Glycoproteins play extremely important roles in embryonic development, immune response, antigen presentation, and the proper functioning of natural killer cells. Glycoproteins are composed only of the sugars glucose, galactose, N-Acetylglucosamine, N-Acetylgalactosamine, N-AcetylGlutamic Acid, Fucose, Xylose, and Mannose, which may be synthesized by the body or ingested in food. Aloe Barbedensis (Vera) contains most, if not all of the these sugars in significant amounts. Eat only the inner gel, not the green skin. (By the way, Aloe Vera tastes horribly nasty if you're not used to it.) Some companies have also come out with glyconutritional supplements that they claim provide the same sugars.

4. Try to stay alive. It was been proven again and again, that those who want to live are more likely to live than those who give up. It is a psychological cure not fully understood.

See your oncologist and make sure you go to follow up visits. They will have the latest information on how to treat your particular type of cancer (should you be unfortunate enough to get it).

My Oncologist said nothing about cutting back on OJ, which is high in Follic Acid.
