find a conditioner that suits you, and make sure your hair is well-conditioned at all times, because when it is, its less likely to fly around and get all tangled up! my grandmum always told me to loosely braid my hair before i go to bed; this way, when you get up, your hair will be much less tangled

Use an intense moisture conditioner and leave in for 5 minutes. After getting out of the shower, DO NOT BRUSH YOUR HAIR. Brushing your hair while it's wet can cause it to stretch, then eventually break off. Run you finger through your hair gently and use a leave in conditioner.
You should have knot free hair.

good conditioners, theres also a deep conditioning treatment by joico, its the kpax reconstructor. its great! i dont like the spray for fine hair as much tho (and my hair is fine) the cream works much better, u cant use this everyday tho or ur hair wont feel clean, once a week max. u leave it on for 5 minutes after shampooing then rinse out. also good conditoners on a daily basis help. u can try any of these brands, joico, tigi, paul mitchell, redken. pretty much anything u can get from a salon or beauty supplier is pretty good. oh and u could also try brushing ur hair b4 u hit the shower to detangle it first if its really bad.
