his dad is retired and has a girlfriend of 18 years together..
every lunch time i must cook for daddy....my husband is at work and comes home at 5pm...where i prepare food for that time..or sometimes he cooks for both of us.

Let the girlfriend cook for the old man or he can cook for himself. Better yet, tell your husband he can cook for you.

Dear, there is no harm in cooking for your husband's dad, if he is with you. Think he is your father and then things will work out smoothly.

have u ever talked to ur hus??
show correctly what u think... do not think about it alone. you need more conversation with ur all family, i guess...
Or, just try to cook for your father-in-law when you really want to.
With all willingness and happiness..
If you don't want to do, ok. just do something for yourself...
you are not selfish at all.. you are just 'standard'

Depends which country you live! It might be part of their culture, that the son (and his wife) has to take care of their parents! Bon Courage!
