I had a husky mix. she was amazing.
I also had a chow/shep mix that was very smart and protective when I was little.
Overall, I have to say, I prefer mixes or mutts. The purebreds have many health and mental issues that I'd rather not deal with. Plus, the mutts have unique characteristics that a purebred could never have. If you could see the mutt I have now, you'd understand. lol
My favorite breed though has to be the aussie shepard. my gawd those are beautiful looking dogs!!!
;o)

non-sporting group ...standard french poodle; agile, intelligent, obedient, protective, sweet, and they do NOT shed!
sporting group....gordon setter; beautiful, sweet disposition, great family dog also
toy group...chinese pug; loyal, funny, loves to cuddle, very hardy, adorable
hounds...afghan hound; lovely in motion, fastest long distance running dog in the world, double pivot hip makes them super agile, stunningly beautiful animal
herders,,,Pulik; small, fearless, agile, commited to working cattle.
working...great dane; noble, obedient, loyal, protective, gentle with children
terrier...lakeland terrier...terrific watch dog, agile, loving, intense, tenacious
Of all the above breeds, the Standard Poodle is my favorite. I had one that was the finest dog I ever owned. I currently have a Chinese pug. My daughter has 2 papillons, an afghan hound and a st. bernard.

My favorite breed of dog is... any dog... provided it is not living across the street from me and barking like a fool at everything and anything that moves. :) Aside from that, I have owned a collie/shepherd cross, a purebred poodle (mini), a purebred springer spaniel (field).

I was raised with Labs and Chihuahuas
Now I have two pugs because my husband hates "yapper chihuahuas"
I love them, but love BIG dogs! I think Labs are great. I want a German Shepherd and St. Bernard someday. My husband wants a Mastiff
I love small, inside dogs for cuddling
Big dogs are fun to run with
