'By their fruits ye shall know them'
If you look up questions about 'Mormons' on Y!A, most of the time when a question is asked like...What are Mormons like? or Have you ever met a Mormon?
About 55% of the answers go like this...they're great people... some of the best I know.
About 25% go...they're great people...but incorrect in their faith.
About 10%go...The Mormon I met drank and smoked and was nice, but wierd etc.
About 10%go...they're evil devil worshipers who have horns and drink chicken blood!
Doesn't this speak for itself? No other religion has this high a percentage of honest admiration. By their fruits ye shall know them.

Well, you are creating quite a storm here...hee hee! You know, the first day I started at BYU, my uncle gave me some advice that I'll never forget and have taken to heart. I was concerned about professors and getting along with roommates and like that and my uncle told me "...there are a$$holes everywhere". But it's true in reverse too. There are wonderful people everywhere. Think about Alma (the Elder). He was servant and priest to a major butthead and turned out to be a VERY good guy...so good that on his say so God sent an angel to visit his son.
I guess when you're letting the born-agains and the e-frees brow beat you and it's really getting you down, you've been online too long.

I have no doubt that there are good people who are members of all faiths, as well as bad people.
There also good & bad people who are atheists.
I guess the real question is, where do you draw the line and say something is evil?
To me, all religions are misguided, but the wons which appear evil do so because of the people in control, the same as with any organisation, or even countries.

That does seem like a contradiction, but you know what? No matter what church you belong to, someone else is going to say stuff like that. List any church that you know of, someone out there is going to come up with some sort of generalization, or stereotype and generally try to put it down anyway they can.
The only thing you can really do about that is just go on with your life, if you are getting what you need out of your personal relationship with the God of your understanding, that is what's important.

Mormons aint no worse or no better than any other religion. Don't take this wrong but u people would enjoy life so much better if u would consentrate on how u live ur life and not so much on how others live their lives. if some one approuches u and say's u r wrong and i am right, just smile and say May the Holy Mother Dianna bless u.

I am not one to judge, I don't practice their teaching, but I would imagine that there are good and bad people just like there is everywhere. Good people can come from anywhere.

I wonder the same thing about the public service sometimes. Nevertheless, there are some good people there.

I don't know, look at Scientology. Alot of people just go there because they believe it helps psychologically. They don't believe in Xenu and all that stuff, at least not yet.
