Thanks for reading, and be honest, I got some thick skin. Is it good enough to be published?

Seeing You

The rain is drowning,
Work was regrettable,
The car wouldn’t start,
Today is worth frowning.

Now walking home,
Rain dripping down my chin,
There is no one out,
I feel very alone.

Opening the door,
Soaked through and dripping,
Thinking how terrible today was,
Muddy shoes on the floor.

Then you step in,
Cheeks glowing walking to me,
Drying my hair with a towel,
You kiss me still smiling.

Accompanying you to the kitchen,
Rain still splashing outside,
Handing me a cup of hot cocoa,
Then you ask and want to listen.

How was your day?
Looking at you forgetting everything,
Knowing you love me,
Not lying I had a perfect day.

I think this is awesome! Yes it is good enough to be published. You should post it on this website poetry.com. I have several poems there myself and all of the ones I have put up there has been published. Like I said before, I think its really awesome.

I must admit what a sweet poem, I think that it is good. However, (here comes the crit!) The poem sends a sense of bluntness to it. I think just a bit of tweeking here and there should do the trick. Re-read it (which I'm sure you've done), check the length of your lines and abruptness of your rhyme just to give the "Journey Effect" -if you no what I mean. My personal opinion, not a professional one. Have read poems before, I as well write my own and love reading them.
