I would certainly think so. If you have any doubts, the next time they say it, ask them what they mean.

I've told my boyfriend that he's the love of my life (and I mean it) and he believes that I am the love of his life too.. We make plans for our relationship.. We see us in future together.. That's the reason I've expressed my feelings.. And it's the first time I've told this to a boyfriend.. But I think that this expression depends on the kind of the relationship and the age you have.. Every relationship is different and every age too.. Like every personality.. Some people say this without feeling it.. Some because they believe it.. Some just without thinking it very seriously, just to say something.. I believe that only you know if she/he really means it..

Probably, but just because they say it doesn't mean you'll end up together. My ex is still saying that 15+ years after we divorced, and he's been married 3 more times since then. If I'm the 'love of his life', why is he with someone else?!?
