you should take 2 forms of ID with you such as drivers licence passport, bank statements etc, letters from DWP cannot be used. You may be required to show a current mini statement to prove you have no funds and are in fact in crisis. You will also meed your ID to collect your Giro

you need full bank statements not the mini ones from cashpoints
and proof of id ir bank card or utility bills the more the better as you know what they can be like

you need ni number and any proof of i.d, but is it for something urgent like food etc because if its for something like a cooker or a bed as for a community care grant as you dont repay that.
