I send a lot of pastels all over the world . I buy special paper in an art shop that is very slippery . ( by the way I never spray my work as it ruins the fluffiness) I then put one pastel then the slippery paper etc in layers .I fix the pastel etc in the portfolio with tiny strips of masking tape. On the other side of the porfolio to where i have attatched the pastels I make balls of tissue paperand attatch with masking tape a ball in each corner ane if it is a large portfolio some down the sides and so when you shut the portfolio it does not close as it is prevented from closing by the tissue paper balls . ( make a carefully designed label to go on the outside to finish it off ! !

Don't frame them. Buy a spray fixative and spray them. When they are dry, carry them to the school in a small black portfolio. They sell them in art supply stores. Thats the normal way people do it.

try using either tissue paper or newspaper in between each picture or drawing in a large portfolio so it lays flat!
