My son gets eczema and when the condition gets better, the area he had it loses skin pimentation so he looks like he's covered in white patches. Is this normal?

I mean pigmentation.

This is perfectly normal as the eczema attacks the pigmentation in the skin. It does heal in time and bio oil helped reduce mine.

It might be worth finding out what is triggering his eczema. Mine is down to chlorine in the swimming baths.

Yes, this is normal. I'm very prompt to eczema too. The white patches will be there quite some time but is better to consult a doctor as they had cream for your son to apply on it so that it recovers faster.

Don't worry. It will goes off after sometime.

Hi, this is normal.
My daughter used to suffer with eczema bad and it happened to her, but we have now changed her diet, changed washing powders, changed all the toiletries, as these things can trigger off the ecxema.
Now the patches have faded and she does not get it as bad.
