I'm looking to use UK Work Permits Ltd to apply for my HSMP Visa in the UK and I'd like to make sure they're a legit organization.

Yep - they are a business and run by businesspeople and not lawyers. An HSMP application is a complex and very precise application and you should always make sure you use a solicitor (English lawyer) to assist you. There are plenty of solicitors able to assist you and at least they are governed by the Law Society. The company you named are governed by their bank account! This is one I know of and they provide free initial advice by email too. The site does not have any immigration advice on it but they respond to emails quick.
