I'm just curious, do you?

When someone said something bad about some religion, without confirming if it's true or not, from a reliable source or not, do you believe in it straight away?

For example, I say like..... muslims are terrorist, many people would say straight away "that's right".....ignoring completely that the terrorists in Islam is comparible to the 700 club in Christianity, that even their own people hate them.

Then I say that Christians are hypocrites......BAM, pages and pages of the Bible, pages and pages of explaination and intrepretation.

So, do you honestly listen to the ramblings of a fool?

I shouldn't. But too often I do and end up getting my knickers in a twist trying to argue with them.

I'm too stubborn sometimes!

Why do you put muslim terrorists and the 700 club in the same category?
Why do you say that Christians are hypocrites?
Wouldn't it make sense to say that some of the Christians that you've met, have caused you to doubt THEIR sincerity, and not badmouth an entire group, as a whole?
Wouldn't it be better for you to ask God about Christianity?

No, I don't listen to idiots, because I do my reading and I know what I'm talking about when I talk about it and I know what to believe, what to disbelieve, and what to verify.

Saying ALL Muslims are terrorists is stupid. That sounds weird coming from an ignorant politically incorrect Islamophobe like myself. :-) Just because I have controversial opinions doesn't mean they're not strongly based.

You'll find there's a lot of political correctness here and politically correctness generally breeds ignorance. You can argue a point very intellectually and you can back it up with mind-blowing evidence and if the point is unpopular you'll still get bashed.

However, in my experience, political correctness usually works for Muslims, not against them.

Oh, I don't think there's any harm in listening. But that doesn't mean you should immediately suspend disbelief.

We have to use judgement in all things. And there is a slim chance that a grain of truth may be found, even in idiocy.

Zen and Taoist teachings sometimes tell of simpletons who reveal 'truths' to those considered knowledgeable. In this way they explain that 'wisdom' is different from 'learning'.

Of course, for the most part, the ramblings of a fool are just that.

No, I don't. We should thoroughly check something first before believing it. Personally, I believe its not right for other people to criticize a religion just because of some hypocritic reasons. No religion is bad...its just that some people makes use of religion for there own selfish reasons. So if a hypocrite rambles something bad about a religion, then better hang that person upside down.

For the most part, I won't even respond to some of the questions asked here on Yahoo Answers, unless I feel it may lead someone astray. Like the saying goes, "Arguing with a fool proves there are two."

But Adia, when I want to Dis. Christianity the 700 Club, Ted Haggard, Fred Phelps and that stuff are exactly what I use as my shining examples of the Christian faith!
I know there are some good Christians out there, but they are not the ones I want to use as examples.

You sound a little frustrated hun. I don't blame you, I get frustrated by people who accept without questioning. It's called being gullible (synonym of stupid), or just being willingly ignorant (synonym of cowardly).
Whatever answer there is, I will take it into consideration. If it's interesting enough I'll look it up. Otherwise I file it away under the human nature section in my brain and carry on living.

Nope... the very fact that they are called 'idiots' mean they know nothing.

But I do suggest that we can learn from one another when they start giving idoitic answers so we don't end up giving idiotic answers ourselves.

The more answers idiots give only show how foolish they are in return. This is no doubt and it won't help if any other gives them 100 thumbs up for their answers or not.

to not listen to other peoples opinions would make me as stupid as them. there are many fools who get stuck that on the idea that there religion is the one true and perfect religion. and will not consider a logical argument or discussion. but we should try and understand why?
