1. Love~~~ includes abundance in communication, effort, healthy attitude and time spent.

Tolerance is a sticky subject...when families are in turmoil all the time(dysfunctional/divided) there is usually too much tolerance expected and/or too much tolerance going on. Anti-family individuals have a host of advice to give on the subject yet show no proof of it's worth or productivity. The only thing that will solve it is love and honest communication. Understanding and honesty holds more power than tolerance *see love.

Financial support....money can't buy love. Consider a family who's home was lost to an electrical fire natural disaster. The love within a family can not be touched yet all is gone. In fact, love then comes pouring out of the community BECAUSE their is an honest need. Consider also, that money has been known to be a common subject of *destruction* of families.....in fact, greed/false power is the root of all evil it seems to present money, for only a short honeymoon, as if it's the only way to happiness then everything quickly goes to pot and can bring depression upon a family. This country either doesn't understand or refuses to admit that to destroy the family is to destroy our economy. Our money doesn't belong going into two places - government and mental health which encourages family breakdown... works for them doesn't it and as long as people continue to allow it they will continue to sell it so vote w/wisdom. Happy families are more productive and money is filtered into the community, local services, and chosen businesses where it belongs. It's part of "good works" which results in positive income AND outcome.

the most important is tolerance and communication. a happy family with only love but no tolerance will create a disaster one day. communication is also very important. we have to know how to communicate with each of our siblings and parents appropriately. sometimes, miscommunication and misinterpretation will lead to quarrel and one more is spending time together. do activities which will involve everybody. interactions during the activities will keep everyone closer.

All of the above, including raising your children to have high self esteem, to be kind, and charitable.

Many years ago my 9 year old told me that the children in his class were making fun of a certain child and he had no friends. I told him that is very sad. Why don't play with him on recess time. He replied, because then the other children will not play with me. I replied, how would you feel if no one wanted to play with you? He replied mommy but I just can't. I said. You know if the other children see you playing with him they will eventually start playing with also. Well after a week went by, my son came home and told me that the children stopped making fun of that boy. I said you see what a good deed you did.?

This is just one example of how I raised my children. They are all grown married and are wonderful husbands, and wives to their mates.

I think the most important 2 things is respect and openness. If you respect each other the other criterias will fall together easily, essentially respect is the mortar in an relationship. Also if you are open about your thoughts and views the other critierias will be nutured.

a happy family only exists six-feet-under. in the "living world" there is no such thing as a happy family... there may seem that they exist, but those are only families that set up this little "act" on how perfect their family is... people like to critize, but not to be critized... so no family will show their problems... but all families are and/or will be miserable at some point...
