Do diaretic tablets (fluid tablets) mask all drugs including prescription and over the counter. My friend is worried about going for a medical for a job he applied for. He does not take any illicit drugs such as cannabis or anything alike, but he took some pain killers given to him for a bad headache (which contain codeine and panadol) and he is worried because later on that day he got a phone call to go for a medical the next day which he applied for.

Yes. Don't you remember when Shane Warne got banned from cricket for a year because he had taken diuretics? They mask things like steroids. If he went for a medical and he had taken coedine and panadol, that wouldn't be an issue - they check for illegal substances but they would probably be a little suss on the fluid tablets.

Diuretics will not help, he needs to take a detox. I do not know which ones work though. Good luck:)
