I don't know if I can do this but...I have a hdtv in 1 room and some backed up hd dvd's, some converted to h.264/x264 hd, and some divx/xvid on my computer in the other room. Is there any way to stream 1080i or 1080p hd content to my tv wirelessly.

You need a Digital media adaptor or receiver.
Check Netgear and HP has a TV with integrated adaptor (they call ot MediaSmart TV).

Using 802.11a/g you can probably stream up to 15 Mbits/s. This is good enough for Divx.

in case you prefer to get "actual" 1080p sign, you will prefer an HDMI cable. in any different case, an element cable would be high quality for as much as 1080i. there is an editorial i'm going to link to below that describes 1080i vs 1080p--in truth it says that as long as your television de-interlaces properly, there is fairly no longer lots to be gained via having a 1080p enter vs 1080i enter. for my area, i does not make investments heavily into HD-DVD or Blu-ray actual now. i could wait till element calm down and/or the gamers come down in fee. the only exception could be while you're a gamer--you are able to the two get the PS3 for blu-ray, or in case you have already got an xbox 360, the HD-DVD upload-on is quite like $2 hundred. actual now, netflix has the two HD-DVD and Blu-ray discs for lease.
