I have a friend and her boyfriend recntly told her he wants to sleep with other people to fix the problems they have. I said she should leave? He says its a phase and if she loves him she can endure. I told her that was a load of crap what do you think?

Him sleeping with other women can't fix the problems the couple has, it can only feed his ego and insecurity and hurt her. Please, breathe some sense into these people.

yep - you're right. if he wants to play the field, let him do it without your friend as a fallback option for him. I'm not really sure how getting other people involved in this can fix the problem, I can only see it creating more problems. unfortunately your friend is in a no-win situation, they'll break up at some stage no matter what, so better to do it on her terms.

It sounds as though he has it all figured out. It will solve the problem assuming the problem is that he has a girlfriend. She needs to get rid of him now. He, not only wants to do whatever he pleases, but expects her to accept it and stay with him. That's not love, it is abuse. He is abusing the trust and feelings that she has and trying to take advantage by making her feel as though she has to accept it or the problems are her fault. It is pure bunk and he needs to find himself alone for it.

This guy is looking to have his cake and eat it too.
He's not happy in his relationship with your friend, but it's willing to give up the benefits, so he convinces her that this is a fix. So he'll play around until he finds someone better and then dump your friend.
You friend needs to just dump him and find a real man.

Get your friend to agree, and set him up. Agree to sleep with him, photograph him naked then post photos around the school or something.
Or just set him on fire.
