I have a camera memory card that is 32 megahertz. I was planning on selling it, but I noticed that everything on eBay is megabytes.

Oh.
Well, now I feel stupid. It just says FC-32 MH on the card. I figured it meant megahertz. Maybe I mean gigabytes...?

Also, any idea on how much I should sell it for?

You can't convert megabytes to megahertz since they are of different units of measurement.

Megahertz refers to the clock speed of your digital camera (its microprocessor's spd) whilst megabytes refers to its memory (data storage capacity).

Try looking at your camera's manual and see how its memory is.

Megahertz and Megabytes are incompatible units of measurement. Megabytes describes storage space and Megahertz describes cycles per second or the frequency with which something occurs - usually a processor or can be used to describe the wavelength of a radio frequency.

What you're reading on that memory card is probably the model number of the memory card - that won't tell you how much space it has. If it doesn't say on the card put it in your computer and right click it and click properties - it will tell you the size. If it's 32 megabytes it's not worth anything - throw it away. You can get 1 gigabyte memory cards now for just $20 or so. 1 gigabyte = 1000 megabytes.

It won't be gigabytes as I know of no card yet that has a capacity that large. My guess is that the numbers and letters you quote are just a model number. To advise you on price we need to know what kind of card it is (Compact Flash, Smart media etc), and what its capacity in megabytes is. But, I can hazard a guess that you won't get very much for it on ebay. New flash memory cards get cheaper by the month and not many people will be interested in a second hand one that hasn't been tested - it might not be working, for example.

The FC-32MH is the serial number of a CompactFlash-type memory card made by a company called Karta, for Canon. It has a maximum capacity of 32 MB, which is currently considered a very small memory capcacity for removable memory cards - current models have about 100+ times the capacity of the one you have.

I wouldn't recommend trying to sell it on eBay, as you're not likely to make more than a couple of dollars for it.

I love to sell on eBay. I have 3 or 4-32 MB cards that came with cameras and stuff that I have never opened. I decided it is not even worth trying to sell on eBay. There are enough Sandisk or other brand name cards listed for a dollar or two that never sell that I figured I'd have trouble giving mine away.

A 32mb card isn't worth more than a dollar or two.

And there's no way your card is 32 gb...

What are you talking about? Megahertz has to do with sound frequency.
