I am from Canada and have been dating a girl from Manila now for 6 months. We met on the internet and we have since met in person. During our meeting we spent 3 weeks together where i met her family, both of us say we are in love with the other. I am quite young and so is she.
I have been thinking about marrying her, and was wondering what the pros and cons of marrying a girl from the Philippines? Is she trustworthy? Will she be a good lover? Is she after my money? Will she be faithful? What has been the experience of others?

Don't get me wrong i am very positive about this relationship as she is very nice and from a nice family, we are in contact every day and her living standards seem ok, but i thought it would not hurt if i asked these questions, as there is alot of negitivity about filipinas on the internet, ie - they are all crazy!

This is the most rediculous question I've ever read, relationships always go through trials either you like it or not, if you marry someone intending for a perfect marriage then good luck to that there is no such thing! You learn to compromise and learn to understand the other person,it doesn't matter what nationality she would be, if marriage give you a lemon make a lemonade!!! By the way I'm a Filipino and been married now for 16 years and my husband is still crazy in love with me❤️

I'm from the philippines and I'm not crazy. But I agree with the fact that most fil women consider "money" for marrying someone they hardly know or see (3 weeks isn't entirely sufficient). I have several friends who have been married to foreigners and they are very happy. Filipina women are not the cheating type. But then again, you have to know the person for who she really is not for her race. so, get to know her more.

That's a terrible question but I do know some fil women who married Americans. The culture is different. The women will take care of you well, very nice people, but the family will expect financial help from you because it's expected that family help family more than in America, anyway. Here we support ourselves but don't rely on family to take care of us.

If I was young I should make a try, but now I know it would be only for money or financial support...If you look good and young , she may be in love, anyway don't offer money to the family to test her reaction.

correction- 'some are crazy but NOT ALL.

You are generalizing the Filipinas therefore that includes the lady Filipina you wanted to marry. Consider also yourself as crazy bcuz you have choosen one who is crazy, am i ryt?

Wish she reads your letter, it will give her 2nd thoughts about marrying a guy who just called her crazy.

Dear Johan,

Do you really think that you are really in love with her 100%, and do you think that she is 100% in love with you. I mean to get married isn't easy and you must be totally sure to take this huge step.

So what I think is that, you should test her feelings about you and spend more time with her to know her more, and to know how much you care about her.

you shouldnt ask that, if u really love her, what is money after all. i believe that how beautiful place where u maybe, or how delicious food you eat without love, its like eating wood and looking to the walls without paint.
