Well dear you seems keen to know, see every God sent Prophets like Noha, Moses, Jesus to guide man kind right so when new Prophet comes you have to follow him it doesnt mean that u wil not believe in previous Prophets, same way till Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) was not came Jesus was the Prophet of that time and you have to follow Him after Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) came you have to accept Him and same way believe in all other Prophets also. A non believer is a person who dont believe in the Books of God and Prophets, what is the difference between jews and christains i think jews dont believe in jesus i.e. they didnt accepted Jesus(Peace be Upon Him) same way christains didnt accept Muhammad(Peace be Upon Him) and so called non believers. Heaven is for believers only hope you are clear now, believing some thing or not is every ones personal choice no one can force any one right.....Good luck in your search on Islam.

Ok im a little confuzed by your question, Are you asking why do ppl say that muslims wont go to heaven? You have to understand. Every religion has there own beliefs.. I assume your are sum kind of Catholic or christian. Because they are one of the only religions that judge and think they are allways right. In gods eyes we will all goto heaven no matter what religion they are. Cuz you have to remember that most religions worship the same god.... just diffrent prophets... Muslims and christians belive in the same god. Just... diffrent prophets. So why would god not take both in???

It is really un fair that someone who served humanity, commited no bad actions and were helpful and good to go to hell because he's non Muslim.. Actually, If you revised my very early answers, you'll find that I said that Any one who pleasesa and satisfies God goes to heaven according to Islam, regardless of his beliefs.. This is quite clear in the Quran as God mentioned Christians, Sabians, and many other beliefs where the believer himself was actually good but non Muslim... Heaven is a discreationry reward of God and is not restricted to a sect apart from the other.

That's not true.
It is required that a person
1. Believes in ONE God, and in one God alone.
2. Believe in the here after.
3. Worship God properly.
4. And believe in the message sent to mankind by the prophets.
Even though some might not admit the fact that Judism, Christianity and Islam worship the same God, the truth is that they do.
And so if one believes in God, there is a chance to enter the heavens.
It's never about religion, it's about belief. One could claim to be Muslim, while his/her deeds are of a non-believer, while a non-Muslim could be labeled with another name, and still beileve highly in God.
Hope that answers your question.
Peace.

I could ask the same question about Christianity. If you aren't Christian, you supposedly won't go to heaven. The simple answer is that each group believes they are right, and to admit each other into their heaven would be a fallacy. Your specific targeting of muslims though shows an ignorance, so I would expect angry responses from muslims.

Only Allah knows.
We muslims are taught to obey allah's commands, yet satan tries to decieve us with evil. You can only try your best and hope for best. We believe that people who are given advices and lessons to become muslims, and they ignore it. Then their choice is not heaven- if they don't become muslims at all.
Remember being a muslim in and of itself does not assure paradise unless one dies in a state of Islam- submission to The One GOD alone.
God's infinite justice is abosloute and perfect. One the day of judgement, all deeds will be revealed and everyone will be justly treated muslims and non-muslims. We will not enter paradise because of our deeds alone, but by God's mercy
Whoever tells you that non-muslims can't go to heaven, that's the truth, but only God knows for sure.

God does not specifically state anywhere in the Quran that only Muslims will go to heaven. God doesn't even say that just by being Muslim you will automatically enter heaven. He mentions those that believe in God and follow the messages sent by their prophets etc will enter heaven. That includes Christian and Jewish and Sabiens(not sure who they are).

Actually dude, in Islam anyone of any religion can go to Heaven only if they follow these three simple things:
1) Believe in the One God
2) Believe in the Afterlife
3) Live a righteous life.
Your friend is just ignorant and doesn't read the Qu'ran, that's all.
Verse 2:62 of the Qu'ran says that:
"Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians, whoever believes in God and the Last day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve."
What the Hell? Thumbs down? So this is how you reject the truth, is it?

I am not a Muslim, but I have asked many Muslims questions like these and have researched it a little. Borrowing a few guarantees, like blowing up innocent children in the name of allah, or just being Mohammad (or MAYBE a prophet of allah), no one in Islam is guaranteed heaven, not even the very, very, very best Muslims.
It is my understanding, and I am not making this up, this is what I have been told over and over, that allah just puts whoever he feels like it into "heaven".
They seem to act like it depends on how he feels at the moment, that is, you can take 10 people with equalent lives, and they will all end up wherever, depending on what mood allah was in when they come before him.
This shocks me that they believe this, and it is their idea of what women are (fickle, wavering, indecisive, incapable of sound judgement, etc). To me, it sounds like they are claiming allah is their idea of what woman is in this regards. Concerning women, it is said that allah especially hates these very traits, which he himself exhibits, and sends nearly all women to hell for it.
I wish someone would explain to me why anyone would follow allah if they believed that. When I asked that question, they told me that we must follow allah because it MIGHT increase the chance of him feeling like not sending you to hell.
This also means if you love satan and hate allah, that you too might get out of hell if and when allah feels like it.
Please note, I have never been told by Muslims that going to heaven has anything to do with good or evil, but rather with practicing their religion. If you are pure evil, and practice their religion, then that is okay by allah. Again, regardless of the few guarantees as mentioned above, no one gets out of hell unless allah feels like it.
To sum it up, because of the above, they believe that non-muslims MIGHT be less likely to get out of hell.
Muslims vary on their beliefs about this, however, all of this can be found and is supported strongly in the Koran.
Maybe I should add that they believe that Isa (their version of what Jesus should have been) will testify against their version of what Christians are, to help send them to hell at the judgement. I think that they believe something very similar about the Jews. (In other words, if you are a Christian, or a Jew, your likelihood of being sent to hell is increased -- allah being less fickle at this point for some reason).
Again, I am not making this stuff up, it is in the Koran, but more specifically, this is what I have been told by Muslims who are supposed to really know what they are talking about. Lesser Muslims, the ones who do not know the Koran, specifically some of the westernized Muslims, get really angry about some of these things and say it is just being hateful or whatever, but I do not get this from me!
I did not get this from Muslim haters, I got all this from the practicing Muslims, and it scares me.

The only thing that god do not forgive is to worship any other than him or make a partner with him.
All Non-Muslim do this.
Kaffir (disbeliever) in Islam means that he is denying god's boons by any way (relate this boons to others like Jesus, Muhammad, yourself, Idols and so on. Or by denying his existence and all other ways.)
Mo'men (believer) in Islam means that you admitting his existence and boons, and the one who tough Muslims this is Muhammad so they believe in him as a messenger from god.
Of course there are many things that make Muslims believe Muhammad is a true prophet from god.
You can follow the link to know more.
In order to believe this, that there is no god but only one (the creator of everything) who worth to be worshiped, you should believe that Muhammad is a messenger from god - like all other messengers -, that he was sent to renew this fact after it had been corrupted by previous nation.
Muslim believe that god sent about 124, 000 prophet and about 315 messenger to humanity to teach people that there is no god but only one and how to worship him.
For those who might want to know:
===========================
1- God Owns everything including the heavens, so he has the right to get anyone into it or prevent any one.
2- No one will be in heavens by his work, but we will be in it by god's mercy even Muhammad himself will not be in heavens by his work.
3- so what i do in this life has no effect?
Of course no...
a) If you still do not admit that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his prophet, you will die as in disbeliever in Islam, so you will have an eternal afterlife in hell as any one denied god's messege from all other previous nations.
b) If you admit that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his prophet but you did different sins in your life - you can ask for god forgiveness directly from god any time till you die - or you will be punished in hell for what you did in life or you will be forgived according to god's will.
Note: Sins has about 11 was to be removed in islam as no one from us can live without making sins.
c) If you Admit that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his prophet, and you did good things in your life so you will be in heaven - by god's will and mercy - and you will be classified into the level that you deserve.
Any questions contact me.
