The devil can't be killed, it does not exist...It's a kind of metaphor for evilness in human nature. So the right question
should be: What would you do to kill the devil within you ?
The answer: start to live in peace with yourself and all the
people around you, that should do it, I mean - kill the devil !

The devil is a fallen angel and cannot be killed. God has a plan for his future in the lake of fire. I would let God deal with Him. Jesus has already defeated him for us and he has no power over us unless we allow ourselves to fall into his deception. With the abundance of God's grace and His gift of righteousness we reign in life over the devil and all other things he throws at us. We always have the victory in Christ Jesus, the secret place of the Most High.

There seems to be a common thought that evil is the opposite of good, sadly many people who hold these thoughts claim to be Christians. Evil is not the opposite of good, but rather the privation of good. In this sense it is a deficiency of good, rather than a competing dualistic force.

Were evil to be the opposite of good, God who as many claim to be omnibenevolent, would be contingent on the existence of evil. This is contrary to God's nature, who is contingent of nothing. All things were created by God, who is all good, so by nature all things are essentially good - including the devil.

To quote St. Thomas Aquinas : "Good can exist without evil, whereas evil cannot exist without good."

If it were even capable of killing the devil, who is not physical, and therefore cannot die in the human mortal sense, would not God have already destroyed him? Why then should we commit an act that God is unwilling to commit?

I wouldn't kill him. Without evil there would be no good. So if you killed the Devil maybe someone worse would take his spot. So ya... the answer is No I wouldn't cause it wouldn't do any good.

Well honestly its a strange question. Would I kill the single source of all evil if I had the chance? Yes, why not?

What made you think of this question?

It's impossible to kill him, he exists in too many different forms. If I actually saw him in human form I would love to kick him in the nads though.

tuft one. if you kill the keeper of evil where would bad people go? how would the good and bad people live in separate worlds. the bad souls would be free to move as they please and the all plains of heaven, earth, and hell would all be mixed up. that's what i think from what i was told about the bible.
