I have a friend from Asia, her name is C.Y.Wang
She needs a similar English name to her name.
I found the name "Cyan" at a name website,
It's easy to spell and pronounce but not popular...
What's your opinions about the name "Cyan"?

I'd be stumped when it came to pronouncing/spelling it. I'm going to assume that you are pronouncing it SEE-YAN, since you have her name written as C.Y.Wang - C=SEE. But two other pronounciations could be KY-ANNE and KAI-YAN. If she's looking for something easy, go with a name like Cate. If she's going for something unique, tell her to stick with her original name.

It sounds fine to me... especially when you consider some of the other 'English' names Asians come up with. A teacher friend of mine had a student called Cinderella...

It's the name of a colour and sounds Irish. Exotic. Maybe works. Is a good "translation" indeed.
